Cats are great for taking care of themselves. You will always see them grooming and maintaining themselves. Unfortunately, for some cats as they get older and as we neglect them AND their diet, they become over weight. When a cat becomes over weight it becomes difficult for them to reach many areas of the body they should be grooming and may develop clumps of matted fur.
They may even develop what appears to be dandruff!
It is important that you consult with your veterinarian as soon as possible, if you notice this problem. Dandruff can also be a sign of a serious health condition. You wouldn't want a member of your family to be sick and not able to tell you! So keep an alert eye out for them.
